Sales Manager – Ampt Be part of Ampt’s growth by leading sales in the Australian solar market. The role is based in Sydney or Melbourne. Base pay range A$170,000.00/yr – A$200,000.00/yr Ampt is a world‑leading provider of string‑level DC:DC conversion technology for large‑scale solar systems, headquartered in Colorado, USA. Key Responsibilities Achieve sales targets, revenue objectives and KPIs set for your region. Utilise your existing industry network and contacts to identify new business opportunities and self‑generate leads at a utility‑scale level. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders in the solar and storage industry. Monitor market trends and customer needs to adjust your approach accordingly. Collaborate with the engineering team to design projects, supply proposals and close sales. Provide regular sales forecasts, reports and analysis to the Australian Country Director to track progress and performance. Maintain accurate forecasting, project tracking notes and sales activities through HubSpot. Ensure the company’s core values and customer‑centric culture are reflected in all sales execution. Represent Ampt at industry events, roadshows and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate leads. Travel up to 40% of the time (or as needed) for client meetings, trainings, off‑site planning and deal‑closing. About You Knowledge of solar PV and storage products, technologies, architectures and industry trends is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or a related field. Demonstrated ability to build a pipeline of multi‑million‑dollar projects. Proven track record of success in sales roles within the renewable energy or solar industry in Australia. Extensive network of utility‑scale developers, operators and energy retailers within Australia. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, customer needs and regulatory landscape. Excellent communication, relational and interpersonal skills. A consummate professional. Adopts a proactive, hands‑on approach to sales and business development. Experience with CRM tools (ideally HubSpot) and adherence to a strict sales process. Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effective sales strategies to drive business growth in your region. Results‑driven mindset focusing on achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit. Highly organized self‑starter, capable of working remotely and autonomously.
