Rehabilitation Consultant - Rehab Counsellor / Psychologist Location: Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Parramatta NSW. In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. Responsibilities Case management (caseloads are manageable, with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks). Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes. Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs. Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals. Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, DVA, and employer-funded programs. Assist clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. Complete a variety of assessments including initial, ADL, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling . General or Provisional registration with AHPRA ; or eligibility for ASORC . Excellent communication, empathy and time management skills. Current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
