Senior Cathodic Protection / Corrosion Engineer PPI is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Corrosion or Cathodic Protection Engineer to support the growth of our cathodic protection capabilities across mining, industrial, utility, and infrastructure sectors. This is a senior technical and leadership role designed for someone who can provide expert advice, train and mentor technicians , support business operations, assist with tendering, and contribute to our ongoing sales and marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with management and project teams to ensure our CP capability remains strong, consistent, and technically exceptional across all projects. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist engineering support across cathodic protection, corrosion mitigation, materials selection, and asset integrity. Deliver internal training, mentoring, and technical development for staff and field technicians. Assist with tender submissions, proposals, project scoping, and technical documentation. Contribute to business operations including procedures, QA documentation, testing methodologies, and system improvements. Support marketing and sales teams by reviewing technical content, attending client meetings, and strengthening PPI’s technical positioning. Conduct field assessments and oversee CP installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners. Key Attributes Strong technical foundation in corrosion and cathodic protection engineering. Able to train, mentor, and grow the capability of the team. Clear communicator who can simplify complex technical topics. High attention to detail in reports, designs, procedures, and specifications. Commercially minded and comfortable with client interaction and tender support. Proactive, organised, and motivated by continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. NACE/AMPP CP certification (CP1–CP4) or equivalent is highly desirable. Additional corrosion, coatings, welding, or inspection certifications are a bonus. Experience 8–15+ years in corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, or asset integrity. Demonstrated experience mentoring staff or leading technical teams. Strong background preparing CP designs, specifications, and engineering reports. Experience in mining, pipelines, utilities, industrial plants, or heavy industry is highly regarded.
