ServiceNow Developer Talent Canberra is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a 12‑month contract (with possible extensions). The role is based in ACT and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with work‑from‑home options available after six months. Overview We are looking for a highly skilled developer who will contribute to the development and delivery of platform solutions as part of the 2025/2026 financial year workplan. The developer will support, configure, and extend the ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and workflow‑automation platform. Duties & Responsibilities Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements. Assess business area requirements and explore ServiceNow out‑of‑the‑box capabilities before proceeding with custom builds. Conduct code reviews and perform quality‑control checks to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. Develop scoped applications, flows, scripts, and other UI elements for custom solutions and out‑of‑the‑box enhancements. Provide guidance and expertise in platform growth and development in collaboration with the ServiceNow technical lead and development team. Conduct ServiceNow solution demonstrations and presentations for business teams and stakeholders. Debug and fix technical problems. Produce and run test cases to ensure software quality. Document code and application functionality, including drafting Functional Design Specification documentation. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in ServiceNow development. Conduct knowledge transfer on administration and development within the ServiceNow platform. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow development. ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator). Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflows, and integrations. Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow out‑of‑the‑box application configuration. Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and sound judgments. Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective liaison with stakeholders both verbally and in writing, and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively. ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or higher. Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall. Familiarity and/or training with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes. Familiarity, experience, and/or training with ServiceNow Procurement‑related applications and/or development of Procurement workflows.
