We’re delivering major new road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria while improving the roads people rely on every day. The West Gate Tunnel Project will give Melbourne a second freeway link between the west and the city – providing a much-needed alternative to the West Gate Bridge and a vital second river crossing. North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network with new 6.5 km tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen. We’re also overhauling the Eastern Freeway and completing the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough. Join us in building better connections for Victoria by: Assisting in the preparation and review of legal and probity documents and briefs on some of Victoria’s most significant and impactful infrastructure projects. Assist in contract and claims management, including by maintaining records, supporting claims assessment and assisting in the drafting of correspondence. Assist in legal research and the preparation of case notes and guidance material to support ongoing training and understanding of the Legal team and internal clients. Maintain responsibility for the management and oversight of templates and internal registers, such as registers of legal advice, indemnities, or probity matters. Assist with a wide range of other legal and probity matters, with guidance from a supportive and experienced team. The Paralegal will be inspired to apply exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot issues in the provision of document reviews, proofing, research tasks and the management of registers and templates to support legal team outcomes. The Paralegal will be motivated to assist the Legal team in servicing the VIDA Roads teams on a wide range of legal, regulatory and probity issues, including property, planning and environment, construction law, contracts, procurement, freedom of information, privacy, conflicts of interest and legislation and policy. This position will provide the opportunity to gain valuable exposure to legal processes and practices in the growing transport infrastructure sector and inspire them to provide advice and support that will benefit the legacy of VIDA Roads.
