Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a key senior role within the IT function, responsible for providing technical leadership, driving research and development, and shaping Jord’s long term technology strategy. The role will focus on guiding system enhancements and ensuring the organisation’s platforms and infrastructure are secure, scalable, and strategically aligned. The CTO will work closely with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver technology improvements, oversee solution design, and support Jord’s digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support the Group IT Manager in developing Jord’s technology strategy and multi-year roadmap Provide expert technical guidance to ensure alignment between business needs and technology investments Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation and improvement Lead the design, enhancement, and optimisation of enterprise systems Drive modernisation initiatives, ensuring future-ready, scalable, and secure technology environments Oversee solution architecture, integration frameworks, and technical standards Provide leadership across application management, cloud environments and technical projects Ensure best-practice processes for change management, system upgrades, and technical delivery Partner with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement Contribute to workforce development, capability uplift, and technical best practices across the IT function Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and process optimisation Drive adoption of cloud, digital tools, analytics, and emerging technologies that add organisational value Review development projects (such as JobHub), providing technical feedback and mentoring to developers throughout the project lifecycle Lead detailed design and planning for upcoming system developments, including the Procurement System, ensuring readiness for handover to development teams Support training initiatives to strengthen the team’s capability in project tracking, JIRA, and AI-driven tools Oversee and review external system access for customers and vendors to ensure data integrity and cybersecurity compliance Adhere to all Jord company policies and IMS requirements Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines Exposure to engineering, industrial, infrastructure, or project-based environments. Experience with ERP systems, operational technology (OT), integration platforms, and data governance Significant experience in a senior technical or IT leadership role Strong capability in enterprise systems, solution architecture, cloud environments, and cybersecurity Proven ability to lead projects, modernise systems, and deliver technical transformations Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills Strategic planning and budgeting expertise to drive IT initiatives across multiple countries Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with experience handling high-pressure situations #J-18808-Ljbffr
