You will be part of the State Operational Data Store (ODS) Program, which develops dashboards and digital tools to monitor performance, such as the Patient Flow Portal. About the Role The Instructional Designer / Implementation Officer supports the Implementation Team, Senior Business Analysts and Project Managers from conception through to implementation of NSW Health’s state‑wide ODS Program initiatives. The role focuses on designing, developing and delivering training and implementation plans for key systems such as the Clinician Billing Portal, Revenue Portal, Paperlite and Patient Flow Portal (PFP). What You Will Do Drive collaboration with Ministry of Health (MoH) and Local Health District (LHD) stakeholders to design and deliver implementation plans and high‑quality training materials. Work with MoH teams to understand new guidelines, processes, systems and user experience requirements. Design, develop and deliver engaging training programmes using best‑practice instructional design methods. Lead research on current processes related to patient flow, integrated care, revenue and billing. Manage delivery of training and other implementation activities, including preparing and updating plans, conducting sessions and ensuring adherence to timelines. About You Experience of >2 years developing high‑quality end‑user training material for various delivery modes. Experience of >2 years running customised training workshops for clinicians with varying technology proficiency. Experience of >2 years writing technical documentation such as user guides, help guides, release notes and eLearning content. Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal – with the ability to influence and inspire groups. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word) and rapid‑development eLearning tools such as Captivate and Camtasia. Experience of >2 years developing implementation plans and tools for complex enterprise systems. Strong evaluation skills and the ability to resolve complex issues raised by end users during and after implementation. Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Information Technology.
