About the roles Community Rehabilitation Program: The Community Rehabilitation Program provides a short-termgoal basedinterdisciplinary rehabilitation program for clients tooptimisetheir functional abilities and independence in the home or community setting. The programoperatesout of 4 Eastern Health sites (Angliss, Peter James,Wantirnaand Lilydale).These roles will be predominantly based out of the Peter James Centre (Burwood) and Lilydale. Cruiseoutagainst the traffic to enjoythebest of both worlds, working in a beautiful part of Melbournewith free parking, greatcoffeeand a fun team Subacute Rehabilitation: This role will work within a supportive and passionate physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team, currently based at Peter James Centre.Use your established physiotherapy skills with the neurological patient as well as support caseload in other GEM and subacute rehabilitation wards as required. Thesepositionsalign to the neurological streamwithinthe Eastern Health Physiotherapy team. This role will provide opportunities for participation in regular professional development, development of clinical supervision skills, exposure to aquatic physiotherapy and engagement in research and continuous improvement opportunities with support from senior clinicians. The position is supported by regular clinical supervision with aGrade 3clinician physiotherapist, and access to support with the leadership teams. We are seekinganapplicantswho demonstratesexcellentprioritisation, time management, and communication skills, along with a strong commitment to their own professional growth and the ongoing development of our service. As a key leader within our team, we are seeking an applicant with a commitment to providing high quality person-centredcare aligned with evidence-based practice. In this role, you will provide supervision and mentorship to Grade 1 rotating physiotherapists, in addition to Allied Health Assistants and physiotherapy students asrequired.We’relooking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and innovative team player whothrivesin a dynamic environment and leads by example. About you To be successful in this role you willpossess: Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex neurological caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client-centredapproach Broad clinical experience encompassing diverse patient presentation Previousclinical experience working in an aligned clinical environment High level communication skills, both written and oral Demonstrated capacity to work / show leadership in a multidisciplinary team Experience in supervision of staff and/or students Demonstrated ability,knowledgeand experience to lead the professional development of others Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative practice. Commitment to improving own practice and undertaking quality and research activities. Aninterest and commitment to leading the aquatic physiotherapy program Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in theAustralian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
