Home Care Worker Opportunities in the Inner West Silverchain Group invites qualified candidates to apply for the Home Care Worker role in the Ashfield 2131 area. Job Description It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help older members of our community maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for a qualified person with 3 months or more experience in a similar role. What’s On Offer Guaranteed hours and shifts Above award rate $35.71 per hour + Super + paid KM's Employee benefits program + salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free each year Accelerated learning programs to gain professional qualifications (Cert 3) Paid CPR and First Aid courses What We’re Looking For Enjoy having variety in their day Passionate about providing an excellent service Can build positive relationships with clients and their families Can remain calm under stress and not take personal matters to heart Comfortable working independently, finding solutions, and knowing when to seek manager support In Addition, You Will Need Open Australian Driver’s Licence & an insured, roadworthy vehicle Experience of 3 months or more in a similar role Role Provide aged care clients with home help services such as general housekeeping (e.g., making beds, cleaning, mopping, shoe removal), laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping. Provide personal care services such as: Assisting clients with getting out of bed, showering, and dressing Helping with mobility and therapy goals Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, including dementia support Offering social and emotional support Transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments Assisting family carers to take breaks or attend to other matters Why choose Silverchain Everyone at Silverchain, from care teams to leadership, plays a vital role in delivering safety, personal care, connectedness and effectiveness.
