The opportunity As a pivotal role supporting leaders across all HR and WHS matters, the Safety, People & Culture Business Partner acts as the point of escalation for managers, providing performance management, proactive advice, and strategic guidance and practical action around workforce, wellbeing and organisational culture. As a sole People & Culture practitioner, you will own HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, records management and compliance, and partner with managers on workforce planning and capability uplift. Key responsibilities Provide high‑quality operational and action‑orientated support to frontline leaders across performance, ER, Award interpretation and people practices. Lead safety, wellbeing and injury management matters, including workers compensation and return‑to‑work processes. Monitor people data and trends to identify risks and drive wellbeing and culture improvements. Own HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, records management and compliance. Partner with managers on workforce planning and capability uplift. Refine HR / WHS policies, systems and documentation, ensuring alignment with legislation. About you You are an experienced People & Culture generalist with strong HR delivery experience and a solid understanding of WHS, safety and wellbeing. You thrive in environments where you can work autonomously, collaborate closely with leaders and build trusted relationships across the organisation. The ideal candidate will bring Demonstrated HR generalist or business partnering experience across the employee lifecycle, including WHS and return‑to‑work processes. Strong knowledge of contemporary HR legislation, Awards and compliance requirements, with the ability to provide clear, accurate advice. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to coach leaders and manage sensitive matters with discretion.
