Job no: Work type: Part time Location: Yorke and Mid North Categories: Community and Social Services, Child, Aged and Disability Care, Nursing/Midwifery Job Title: Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, Palliative Care Organization: Yorke and Northern Local Health Network, Community Nursing and Palliative Care Team Position based in: Port Pirie Salary: $103,353 -$110,497 p.a (pro rata)+ 12% superannuation + leave loading & Salary Sacrifice Benefits Duration: Temporary Part Time position working 24 hours per week up to 8 January 2027 Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of palliative care services, ensuring continuity and consistency Assist in managing ward/unit operations, including staffing, performance, and financial planning. Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes. Support the development of less experienced staff and ensure high practice standards. Contribute to practice improvements and operational management alongside the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager. What We’re Looking For A registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring less experienced staff. Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary issues in healthcare. Why Join Us?
