We, Hobby Lane Café, are looking for an experienced breakfast chef who is excited to shape the culinary vision of our café and be a part of this passionate kitchen team. Role As our breakfast chef, you will operate day‑to‑day services under instructions, prep systems, and kitchen culture. We are looking for someone with deep love of honest food, a strong sense of seasonality, and the ability to lead with both skill and heart. Key Responsibilities Oversee food preparation and production, working closely with team leaders to maintain high quality standards Maintain consistent quality in food presentation and taste Minimise waste through effective portion control and production planning Create, develop, and innovate menu items with seasonal focus Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and local/state regulations Maintain a safe and healthy work environment Uphold and enforce hygiene and kitchen standards What We Are Looking For 2+ years in a kitchen (café, bistro, or casual fine dining preferred) Strong culinary skills across breakfast, brunch and lunch service. A passion for seasonal ingredients, scratch cooking. Cookery qualification (Certificate IV and/or Diploma in Commercial Cookery).
