Senior Business Analyst - Commercial Insurance Join to apply for the Senior Business Analyst - Commercial Insurance role at Suncorp Group Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane About the Role We have several permanent opportunities within the Commercial Insurance space for Senior Business Analysts. Ideally You Will Have Commercial insurance experience Operational transformation experience (lead or contributed to significant changes in how a business operates particularly through modernisation, digitisation, and efficiency improvements) Experience within Regulatory, Risk and/or Compliance from a large organisation; experience in Business Continuity, Critical Operations, Supplier Management, Control Automation or Privacy from a risk standpoint would be highly regarded Demonstrated a solution mindset and ability to work effectively with other areas to drive outcomes What You’ll Do Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable Create detailed user stories to support delivery Work closely with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work Work in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops and design solution sessions What You’ll Bring ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4+ years’ Senior Business Analysis experience within a corporate environment Commercial Insurance experience is highly regarded Either workers comp, AI or operational transformation experience preferred Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously What You’ll Enjoy Hybrid working, flexible leave, 20 weeks paid parental leave, and up to 5 days paid flexible leave annually Paid study support, career breaks, on-the-job learning, and a $1,000 referral bonus for eligible employees Free wellbeing coaching, a dedicated Employee Council, and confidential EAP access Discounts at 400+ retailers, insurance savings, gym memberships, and reduced super fees Paid volunteer leave, donation matching, and unlimited emergency response leave Performance‑based bonuses and Suncorp shares for eligible employees Diversity is celebrated through employee resource groups and inclusive policies for all families Explore our full benefits: At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
