Employment Information Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (Up to 30/06/2026) Position Classification: Administration Officer Level 6 Remuneration: $40.51 - $41.47 per hour Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours) Location: Cumberland Hospital Where You'll be Working Located at Cumberland Hospital, the NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) is a statewide leader in trauma-informed education and workforce development. ECAV is part of Western Sydney Local Health District and works across sectors to prevent and respond to violence, abuse and neglect. What You'll Be Doing As the Aboriginal Project Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting ECAV’s Aboriginal Portfolio. You’ll help deliver high-impact education and community programs, ensuring projects run smoothly and meet their goals. Provide project coordination and administrative support across Aboriginal-led initiatives Assist with planning, scheduling, reporting and evaluation of education programs Support key advisory groups and networks with secretariat services Maintain effective records and contribute to compliance with NSW Health RTO standards Collaborate with Aboriginal Portfolio Manager and ECAV Director to deliver outcomes How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria License: NSW Driver's Licence Evidence of Diversity claim if applicable (state which category): Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander background Selection Criteria This is an identified Aboriginal Position. Applicants must be of Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander descent, have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander cultures and have established links with their local Aboriginal community. An applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and exemption is claimed under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW. Relevant tertiary qualifications, at a minimum holding a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Work (10619NAT). Sound understanding of Aboriginal workforce development (eg. barriers, challenges and opportunities) within the context of prevention and response to violence abuse and neglect, alongside active commitment to practicing self care and appreciation of its importance. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to learn new record management systems and/or platforms (eg. Office 365, HPE, Moodle, Scodle). Proven effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to foster positive and effective working relationships. Highly developed skills in prioritisation, organisation, complex problem solving, time management and completing tasks to deadlines. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively both independently with minimum supervision and collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to cultural safety and behaviour consistent with NSW Health CORE values.
