Horticulture Grower & Irrigationist Assistant Positions (Riverina Region) Southern Cross Farms Full‑Time Permanent Salary : $75,000 – $90,000 p.a. + Super Locations Eureka Farms – Leeton, NSW Euroley – Euroley, NSW Moora – Hillston, NSW Ceres – Yalca, VIC About the Company Southern Cross Farms is an innovative farm management company based in Mildura that manages farms in the Sunraysia, Riverina and Riverland regions. Roles Horticulture Grower Responsible for running and supervising farm operations and labour management. Manage and supervise daily farm operations, including irrigation, fertigation, pest control, weed control and harvesting Oversee maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, irrigation and facilities Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety, HR policies, food safety and environmental objectives Maintain and evaluate records of farming activities (spray diaries, irrigation/fertigation schedules) Staff supervision and contract labour management Irrigationist Assistant Responsible for running and supervising farm irrigation activities. Manage and supervise daily irrigation operations, including irrigation and fertigation duties, scheduling and maintenance Maintain records of farming activities (spray diaries, irrigation/fertigation schedules) Implement and use irrigation software and systems Maintain irrigation system components such as pumps, filtration systems, fertigation equipment, water meters, valves, pipework and manifolds Diagnose and repair issues with components of the irrigation system (controllers, pumps, filtration, valving) Repair and test pumps, control systems, filtration systems, valves, pipework and manifolds Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety, HR policies, food safety and environmental objectives About you Prior experience managing, leading or supervising on a horticulture farm, including labour, growing, irrigation, and financial outcomes Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage, motivate and develop a team Strong drive to achieve and passion for farming Background in agronomy, irrigation, almonds or citrus highly regarded Experience operating a tractor and other farm machinery highly regarded Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture practices Excellent communication skills and problem solving Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions Self‑motivation and ability to work both in teams and independently Employment Conditions Probation period will apply Pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screening Current driver's licence is required How to Apply Apply simply by uploading your resume via the “Apply Now” link. #J-18808-Ljbffr
