We currently manage farms in the Sunraysia, Riverina and Riverland regions. We currently have Horticulture Grower and Irrigationst Assistant positions available at several production sites across the Riverina Region being: Euroley – Euroley, NSW Eureka Farms – Leeton , NSW Moora – Hillston, NSW Ceres – Yalca, VIC Horticulture Grower We are looking for Horticulture Growers to join our farming teams. The successful applicant will be responsible for running and supervising the farms operations activities and labour management. Responsibilities will include: Manage and supervise all aspects of daily farm operations, including but not limited to irrigation, fertigation, pest control, weed control and harvesting. Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, irrigation and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Maintain compliance with workplace health & safety, HR policies, food safety and environmental objectives. Maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities such as spray diaries and irrigation/fertigation schedules. Staff supervision and contract labour management. Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 Irrigationist Assistant We are looking for Irrigationist Assistants to join our farming teams. The successful applicant will be responsible for running and supervising the farms irrigation activities and duties. Responsibilities will include: Manage and supervise all aspects of daily farm irrigation operations, including but not limited to irrigation and fertigation duties, scheduling and maintenance. Maintaining and evaluating records of farming activities such as spray diaries and irrigation/fertigation schedules. Implementation and use of irrigation software and irrigation systems. Maintain irrigation system components such as pumps, filtration systems, fertigation equipment, water meters, valves, pipework and manifolds. Diagnose issues with the components that make up the irrigation system such as irrigation controllers, pump controllers, pumps, filtration and valving. Repair and testing of pumps, control systems, filtration systems, valves, pipework and manifolds. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: Prior experience managing, leading or supervising on a horticulture farm, including experience in overseeing labour, growing, irrigation, and working to financial outcomes. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team. A strong drive to achieve and a passion for farming. A background in agronomy, irrigation, almonds or citrus will be highly regarded. Prior experience operating a tractor and other farm machinery will be highly regarded. Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions. Self-motivation and the ability to work both in teams and independently. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS Probation period will apply. Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
