An exciting opportunity exists to undertake the role of Senior Project Officer within the Aboriginal Economic Development branch in Economic Policy, Projects and Coordination Group at the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR). The position will lead the design and delivery of the Economic Growth Statement – First Peoples Leadership Academy initiative that includes planning, implementation, and management of projects, milestones and agreements. The position will play a crucial role in assisting in the delivery of the Aboriginal Economic Development programs that include management of projects, milestones and agreements. A key component of this position is to develop strong working relationship with Victorian Aboriginal peak bodies and businesses and cultivate collaborative relationships within DJSIR and with Aboriginal businesses, Traditional Owners and representatives from government and industry. The Team Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial in this role.
