Scientific Officer / Senior Technical Officer - Clinical Neurophysiology Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Scientific Officer Remuneration: $76,378.47 - $108,941.55 per annum plus Superannuation Hours Per Week: 38 Application Close: 16 November 2025 Requisition ID: REQ The role provides day‑to‑day service to the Clinical Neurophysiology Unit at St George Hospital, Kogarah, and oversees the unit’s operations. The Unit is part of the Department of Neurology and delivers electrophysiological services to all aged patients, including on wards, operating theatres and intensive care. It also supports clinical training and research activities. Benefits Up to 12 allocated days off each year for full‑time employees, in addition to annual leave. Selection Criteria Hold a Bachelor of Medical or Health Science or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Health Administration Corporation. Proficiency in supervising the recording of high‑quality electrophysiological investigations in a clinical environment, ensuring safety for self and patients. Proficient in performing routine and specialised electroencephalography (EEG). Proficient in performing evoked potentials (EPs): somatosensory and visual. Ability to work as part of a team or independently as conditions require. Willingness to undertake in‑service or other training and acquire new skills relevant to the position.
