Graduate / mid-level Scientific Consulting Roles Hypercube Scientific – St Leonards Park NSW Hypercube Scientific is a boutique consultancy offering simulation, optimisation and advanced analysis services. We focus on the mining, energy, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors and build long term business relationships based on our excellence, integrity, energy and flexibility. Our offices are in St Leonard's, with a distributed team working across Sydney and Perth. At Hypercube Scientific, you will gain ground floor access to a fast-moving, dynamic set of business opportunities and be an integral part of the team from day one. Most of the team have backgrounds in academia and we provide a welcoming home to those who have recently moved to industry. Due to demand for our services, we have an opening for a PhD graduate to add their skills to our team. The role is to be based in Sydney, with a mix of working from home and our offices in St Leonard's. You will be involved in cutting edge simulations of complicated business operations to help our major clients. You will also have the chance to work on scheduling and optimisation problems. As we increasingly provide bespoke, technical applications to our clients we particularly welcome those with additional background or interest in software development. Come and join a small team with no politics where you’ll see the difference you are making every day This role is ideal for technical PhD graduates seeking a new start in industry. Qualifications PhD qualifications in one of the hard sciences (eg physics, maths, biology or chemistry). Advanced statistical and analytical abilities. Fluency in Python, with ability and willingness to learn further tools and packages. Optional Experience Discrete event simulation packages preferred (e.g. JaamSim Pro, Anylogic, Arena or ExtendSim). Mathematical optimisation and scheduling. Our key sectors, particularly mining. Benefits A flexible, open and open-minded working environment.
