Volunteering in aged care can be an extremely rewarding and valuable experience. Volunteers provide companionship and casual, friendly communication, helping residents stay connected with the local community. Who should volunteer? Anyone. You don’t need experience or any special skill, simply a willingness to join in activities and an interest in having a chat. What would I be doing? The most fundamental role of a volunteer is to provide companionship, so a priority is placed upon listening and talking to residents. Activities may include arts, gardening, bus outings, reading, games, and more. If you have a special skill or good ideas, share them with the lifestyle team to see if they’re a good addition. How do I register? Simply make an enquiry by clicking the Interested/Apply Now button and we will be in touch to explore your suitability and advise on the orientation process. During the interview process we will advise you on the completion of relevant documentation and the orientation process. Note: A Police Check is mandatory. Following the conclusion of the legislative requirements, you will be introduced to our Lifestyle team for induction.
