Overview Part‑time (0.5FTE ) Research Assistant position in the Indigenous Epidemiology and Health Unit, School of Population and Global Health, Albany, Western Australia. Fixed term until 31 December 2026. Salary: Level A – $87,266–$118,416 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% super. Eligibility Only Indigenous Australians are eligible to apply as this position is exempt under the Special Measure Provision, Section 12 (1) of the Equal Opportunity Act 2011 (Vic). Responsibilities Coordinating research operations: assist in planning, implementing and managing day‑to‑day research activities, including data collection and analysis. Engaging with community stakeholders, liaising with community members to ensure culturally respectful and safe research practices. Preparing research documentation: draft research documents, ethics applications and disseminate findings at community levels. Maintaining stakeholder relationships, fostering ongoing partnerships and ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Qualifications Current or pending Master’s degree with a focus on Indigenous health or a related field. Strong written communication and report‑writing skills. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an Indigenous perspective. Experience engaging with community members and stakeholders.
