About Northern Beaches Hospital Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is in Frenchs Forest, only 13 kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients. NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards. Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area. The Outpatients Department at Northern Beaches Hospital is looking for a friendly, experienced medical administration staff member for a casual ward clerk position. Our ward clerks provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families. This is a great role for driven - patient care focused individuals who are wanting to achieve a dynamic career in healthcare. Responsibilities As a Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include: providing patient‑centred customer service including greeting all customers handling enquiries with a friendly and professional manner maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records liaise with medical staff liaison with other areas of the hospital management of patient electronic records ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of patient information Essential Criteria Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments Good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) A track record of providing great service and customer experience Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment Ability to multitask with competing priorities Benefits on offer Discounted onsite parking Discounted gym memberships including Fitness Passport Employee Assistance Programs Salary Packaging via novated lease Bulk Billing services for employees and immediate family members To Apply Please click on the 'Apply' button to be taken to our online application form.
