Social Chameleon is a social‑first creative and digital agency working with leading lifestyle, travel, tech, and global brands. With teams in London and Sydney, we specialise in culturally‑driven storytelling, social search, and high‑performing content grounded in data and insight. We’re hiring an Account Manager for our Sydney office, helping us maintain the high standard of delivery and client experience we’re known for. Unlike our more established London office, our Sydney office is still in its infancy so this is an exciting opportunity to join a small team and help shape the culture and direction of the agency in Australia. The Role We are looking for a confident, organised, and proactive Account Manager to oversee day‑to‑day client relationships and ensure the smooth delivery of social‑first campaigns, content programmes, and digital projects. You’ll be the primary point of contact for your accounts – managing communication, leading briefs, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring outputs are delivered on time, on brand, and on strategy. Alongside client delivery, you’ll play an important role in spotting commercial opportunities, supporting retention, and guiding inbound leads through the early stages of the sales process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying close to the work, and contributing to the wider commercial health of the agency. Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day communication with clients, ensuring a consistent, proactive, and solutions‑focused experience Manage the planning and delivery of content calendars, social campaigns, and paid activations Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Strategy, Creative, Production, Influencer and Paid Media Own project timelines, workflows, status documents, approvals and delivery Brief creative teams, process client feedback, and ensure outputs maintain agency standards Prepare meeting agendas, reports, recaps, and performance updates Ensure all work aligns with client objectives, platform best practice, and our strategic direction Commercial Awareness & Growth Identify opportunities for upsells, cross‑sells, and campaign extensions within existing accounts Flag emerging client needs and work with senior leadership to shape proposals or scopes Contribute to client retention by strengthening relationships and anticipating potential risks Act as a first point of contact for inbound leads, providing a polished, informed introduction to the agency Qualify prospective clients, gather initial requirements, and guide them through the early sales funnel Support the creation of proposals, estimates, and pitch materials where needed About You Strong organisational and project‑management skills Clear, confident communication (written and verbal) Experience delivering social or digital‑first work (agency or brand‑side) A strong understanding of social platforms, content formats, and performance fundamentals A commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and help nurture client relationships The ability to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast‑moving environment A detail‑oriented, proactive, and solutions‑led approach Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and ideally ClickUp/Notion or similar tools A degree in Marketing, Communications or Business is useful but not essential.
