About The Role This position sits within the Community Compliance Department, reporting to the Coordinator of Community Compliance. It involves investigations, education and enforcement regarding animal management, local laws, litter and the environment, and civic compliance, including domestic animal control and school crossing supervision. The Primary Objectives Of The Position Include Lead enforcement and investigative efforts targeting littering and illegal dumping, identify incidents, collect evidence, and issue infringements in accordance with relevant legislation. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to monitor high‑risk areas and protect community amenity through visible, consistent compliance activity. Enhance community pride, improve amenity, and support strategic waste and environmental goals. About You Certificate IV in Statutory Compliance and Animal Control or equivalent; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through on‑the‑job training in a customer service or compliance/enforcement role. Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to influence others, particularly with diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to act independently to resolve minor problems involving dispute or conflict using advocacy and conflict‑resolution skills. Commitment to serving the public and the community, and ability to work effectively as part of a close‑knit team. Strong oral and written communication skills, including preparation of clear and concise written documentation for legal use. Competence in using up‑to‑date technology (software and mobile devices) to complete regulatory or enforcement tasks. Ongoing availability to work a programmed roster covering 6 am‑9 pm, regular weekend work and overtime. Successful Police and Working With Children checks, and a current Victorian Driver's Licence. A Functional Capacity Test is required before employment can be offered.
