Business Development Manager - Environmental Certificates & Solar/BESS Location: Sydney Salary: $100k to $110k base + uncapped commission OTE: $150k to $160k year one; $150k to $200k plus in year two About the Company: A specialist provider of environmental certificates and energy efficiency services, partnering with solar retailers, HVAC contractors, trade businesses and large commercial clients. The company simplifies complex regulatory schemes and supports installers with the creation and processing of environmental certificates across Australia. The Opportunity: This is a growth hire into a five person commercial team. The role blends new business acquisition with long term account management. You will build a portfolio of trade partners, help them navigate energy efficiency schemes and earn a recurring commission trail based on certificate volume. The model suits someone who is commercially minded, enjoys autonomy and prefers long term relationship based selling rather than transactional sales. Key Responsibilities Prospect and onboard new trade partners including solar, HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses Build long term account relationships and act as the main point of contact Help partners incorporate certificates into their sales process and project delivery Monitor account activity, surface new opportunities and introduce relevant scheme updates Coordinate with internal operations, policy and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery Maintain accurate activity, pipeline and reporting Represent the business professionally and uphold strong customer service standards What You Bring Two to five plus years experience in sales, account management or business development Ideally exposure to environmental certificates from a certificate provider or from selling within the solar or HVAC sectors Comfortable walking into trade businesses, building rapport and discussing commercial outcomes Clear communication skills with the ability to simplify complex rules High integrity, consistency and a genuine customer first mindset Motivated by uncapped earnings and long term relationship building Culture & Working Style National business with a small, close knit commercial team Collaborative rather than competitive, strong internal support and knowledge sharing Hybrid working with at least three days in office each week Flexible nine to five with ±1 hour start finish Values driven organisation balancing profitability, impact and employee wellbeing #J-18808-Ljbffr
