Synopsis Senior Zero Waste Engagement Officer Contract: 06 Jan - 30 June 2026 $99,022 to $111,457 (Dependent on skills + Experience) + 12% Superannuation About The Role Help shape a cleaner, more sustainable future for Melbourne as a Senior Zero Waste Engagement Officer. Working within the Infrastructure and Amenity Division, this role plays a key part in delivering innovative and effective waste education and behaviour change initiatives that support the goals of the Waste and Recycling branch. With a strong focus on community engagement, the role is responsible for developing and delivering campaigns and programs that reduce contamination and increase diversion from landfill. The focus of the role will be to support the implementation of a Food and Garden Organics recycling service for City of Melbourne residents, and delivering projects that support the outcomes of the Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030 and the Council Plan. What Your Experience Might Look Like Proven experience developing and delivering community engagement, education or behaviour change programs Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a range of community and government stakeholders. Proven ability to provide efficient, timely and high-quality customer service.
