Medical Receptionist – Aitkenvale Family Health Centre Aitkenvale, QLD | Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time | GP Clinic / Healthcare Administration Join our welcoming team at Aitkenvale Family Health Centre , a well-established GP clinic providing quality primary healthcare to the local community. We're seeking a motivated and professional Medical Receptionist to provide exceptional front desk and patient administration support in our busy, friendly practice. About the Role As a key member of our front desk reception team , you'll ensure patients receive outstanding customer service from the moment they arrive or call. You'll manage appointments, maintain accurate medical records, and assist doctors and nurses with administrative tasks that keep the practice running smoothly. This role suits someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a passion for patient care within a general practice or medical environment. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming clinic experience Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and patient enquiries professionally Schedule and manage appointments using practice booking systems Maintain and update electronic patient records and files accurately Process patient payments, issue receipts, and complete daily banking Assist with billing, petty cash, and reconciliation tasks Support doctors and nurses with reports, correspondence, and filing Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of patient care About You Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a GP clinic / medical centre (preferred) Must possess Australian work rights or permanent residency to be eligible for this position Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring attitude Strong attention to detail and organisational ability Experience with office systems (filing, petty cash, banking) Basic computer and word-processing skills (MS Office or medical software experience advantageous) Experience with medical practice management software systems is highly desirable Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment A proactive team player committed to delivering quality patient service Why Join Aitkenvale Family Health Centre?
