Graduate Policy Officer Branch: Policy and Governance Division: Strategy and Policy Salary: Level 3, $86,439 - $92,795 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2024) Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time FTE: Location: East Perth Closing Date: 4:30 PM The Directorate The Department of Education's Disability Reform Directorate has a key role in leading the Department's programme of work that sets the direction and longer-term disability reform plan for public education. This will involve working across the agency and whole of government, with ongoing engagement and consultation with key stakeholders, to strengthen access and services across the public education system. The Directorate has responsibility for progressing commitments made by the State Government, including but not limited to those related to the WA implementation Roadmap for the Disability Royal Commission, State Disability Strategy, and other reviews and reports. The Role This role will support the Disability Reform Directorate in undertaking research, report development and assistance with governance and stakeholder management in the delivery of the disability reform program priorities. This will require you to use skills, knowledge and experience to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners. Deliver policy and project activities to support business objectives, independently and in teams. Conduct research and consultations across diverse sources. Analyse data to develop evidence-based solutions and tailor information for stakeholders. Prepare reports, briefing notes, correspondence, and corporate submissions. Assist with the distribution of departmental documents. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share and gather information.
