About the role We are seeking an IDAM/GRC Consultant to support a major government client on a high-visibility security and compliance initiative. This is a contract role with a preferred location in Ballarat, though candidates based in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, or Perth will also be considered. The role requires full-time on-site presence (5 days/week). Key responsibilities include: Evaluating current Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices Identifying gaps and recommending improvements aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements Implementing IDAM frameworks to ensure secure and appropriate access to resources Deploying GRC frameworks to manage risk and ensure compliance across systems Working closely with stakeholders to align security practices with business objectives The successful candidate To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria: Australian citizenship and an active AGSVA Baseline Clearance (NV1 preferred or eligibility to obtain) 1–2 years of experience in a consulting or similar role focused on IDAM/GRC security Strong knowledge of SAP HANA system architecture, database security, and user authorization Experience with SAP GRC Access Controls modules (ARM, BRM, EAM, ARA) Familiarity with SAP IdM and general administration within the IdM toolset Certification in SAP HANA or related fields (desirable) Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud Platform (desirable) Understanding of threat modeling, secure coding practices, and security testing tools Passionate, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills What is on offer This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious consulting firm on a critical government project.
