The opportunity:We're on the lookout for a strategic leader to join Bupa as a Head of People – Dental.Bupa Dental is a network of over 170 dental clinics in capital cities and regional towns and is one of Australia’s largest dental care groups.The purpose of this role is to work with the People Director, the Dental Leadership Team, and the broader Bupa People team to develop and execute on a people strategy that both underpins delivery of the business strategy and engages and develops our people to deliver our purpose. This role needs to have a strong customer focus and build deep connections to the business unit to ensure the people strategy supports the business model now and in the future.This is a permanent role and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide with hybrid work arrangements available.How will I help?Key accountabilities include:Develop and deliver both the strategic and operational People Plan for Bupa Dental, considering macro trends and ensuring a customer-centric perspective.Lead the Dental People Partnering team, to drive high engagement and performance.Lead the delivery of cyclical people activities and services to agreed performance standards with a strong focus on metrics, risk, and compliance.Bring HR expertise to the Dental Leadership Teams and actively contribute to the success of the broader Bupa APAC business strategy.Scope and oversee the delivery of strategic people projects, including organisational effectiveness initiatives.Develop workforce plans for key workforce segments, including talent identification, and planning.Diagnose business problems and opportunities, using data and insights to implement appropriate interventions to deliver impact and mitigate riskAdvise and coach senior leaders on talent, succession, and leadership, ensuring alignment with the strategic workforce plan.Deliver talent management initiatives to address succession gaps, build capability, and develop critical skills within the business unit.Partner closely with the People team Centres of Excellence (COE) to drive innovative and strategic people initiatives that are aligned to customer needs.Serve as an escalation point on workplace relations matters, providing pragmatic and legally compliant advice.Influence leaders to embed a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing culture as a strategic differentiator for Bupa.Why work at Bupa?We keep our people smiling by helping them improve their lives in and outside of the office.We’re a welcoming lot, no matter who you are or where you’ve come from.
