We are seeking a positive, customer-focused individual to join a local Council team as a Parking Officer . This is a 12‑week casual contract, starting ASAP. Details Hours : Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (occasional weekend shifts may be required once fully trained) Key Responsibilities Patrol allocated areas and enforce parking regulations Operate handheld devices, computers, and body‑worn cameras Educate the community on parking rules and respond to requests Follow Standard Operating Procedures and compliance guidelines Assist with school crossing supervision when required Prepare documentation for potential prosecutions and attend court if needed Respond to phone and email enquiries within Civic Services What We're Looking For Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to walk long distances Basic to intermediate computer skills Strong customer service and conflict de‑escalation skills Parking or enforcement experience (beneficial but not essential) Genuine interest in local government or the role Flexible availability and full working rights Valid driver's licence Willingness to obtain a Police Check Experience in customer service, public administration, law enforcement, or similar fields is desirable If this role sounds like a good fit, please email Nicola Wolfe or call *** to discuss further.
