Parking Control Officer Parking Services is seeking to fill a vacancy within the team as a Parking Control Officer. This position assists in the application of the Road Safety Act and Victorian Road Rules to increase opportunities to obtain suitable parking spaces within the municipality for residents, businesses and the general public and assists with the safe movement of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Location: Richmond, Victoria Employment type: Permanent Full-Time Salary: $88,223.50 + Super Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm, one Saturday a fortnight, on a 12-week roster. Key Responsibilities Enforce the provisions of the Road Safety Act, relevant regulations, and the Local Government Act 1989, in line with Departmental procedures. Conduct regular area patrols on foot or using Council vehicles according to established work schedules. Provide information and liaise with Coordinator Parking Services and parking administration staff to assist with infringement withdrawal requests, and assist in preparing written responses to the public as directed. Ensure detailed and accurate records relating to enforcement issues are maintained. Qualifications & Requirements Subject to satisfactory Police Check and pre‑employment medical assessment prior to commencement. Pre‑employment checks are not used by Yarra City Council to prevent any applicant from applying for this position. Each application will be considered on its merits.
