Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Vietnam Pho Pho restaurant is looking for one (1) experienced chef/cook who wants to work in a contemporary kitchen which incorporates both high volume and quality. It's essential that you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to work quickly, whilst taking pride in making authentic, wholesome dishes. The food has a contemporary Vietnamese influence with an emphasis on regional ingredients and produce from our region. The restaurant has earned a great reputation with both locals and visitors. You must possess at least two-year experience in Asian food and cuisine; as well as qualification III or IV in commercial cookery. Applicants must be able to work well in a team and have a great attitude towards the work. Responsibilities Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment Preparing and cooking food Seasoning food during cooking Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements May plan menus and estimate food requirements May train other kitchen staff and apprentices Ability to work under pressure, an eye for detail, maintaining a safe & hygienic work environment, and taking pride in your work is essential.
