Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial – Permanent – ASX Listed Dovetail Legal Solutions Pty Ltd – Brisbane, QLD Salary: A$200,000-240,000 p/a (plus bonus) Employment: Permanent, Hybrid Summary An excellent opportunity for a 7+ PQE commercial lawyer with an established and growing ASX-listed business. This permanent role, reporting to the General Counsel, offers a broad mix of legal work, supporting multiple business units in a hybrid working environment. The Role You will provide legal support across a range of commercial matters, including project work and business-as-usual needs. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts to support every business unit. Work closely with the C‑suite and key decision‑makers, providing direct input into the business. In the small team, you will have access to varied and interesting work. Work with all levels of the business, from the "shop floor" to the CEO. Support project teams on transactions, contract negotiations and risk management. Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks. Manage external counsel relationships and assist in developing internal legal processes and frameworks. Conduct training for the business. About You You are an experienced commercial lawyer who can identify risks and prioritise your workload and balance project work with day‑to‑day legal support. 8+ years’ post‑qualification experience, including in‑house experience. You live in Brisbane or are relocating there. Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating various commercial contracts. Calm and comfortable working from first principles to provide clear pragmatic advice. Ability to identify and manage legal risks and provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams. On Offer Competitive remuneration from A$200,000-240,000 p.a. (inc. super) plus a bonus component. Hybrid working flexibility – could be 4 days a week, depending on experience. Permanent role in a growing ASX‑listed organisation. Have access to and assist decision‑makers. Working in the Brisbane headquarters, you will have visibility and input over the entire company, have an impact, and see the outcome of your work.
