Senior Financial Accountant – 6 Month Temp Join Sharp & Carter in this 6‑month temporary role. You will act as the second‑in‑command to the Finance Manager, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and driving process improvements across the finance function. Company & Role We are partnering with a highly regarded, service‑based organisation with a long‑standing national presence to recruit an interim Senior Financial Accountant. This hybrid role is centrally located around Parramatta, offering onsite parking and the option of working one day out of the CBD. Key Responsibilities Lead the month‑end and year‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Complete month‑end close journals, providing supporting calculations and relevant documentation. Review month‑end results, delivering insightful commentary on variances against relevant metrics. Prepare consolidated financial statements, statutory reports, and group submissions. Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions. Support tax compliance, including BAS, FBT, GST, and liaise with external advisors as required. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting systems. Partner with commercial finance and operational teams to provide financial insights and analysis. Support external audits and ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements. Your Profile CA/CPA qualified with 4‑6 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role. Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, consolidations, statutory reporting). Experience within complex, multi‑subsidiary businesses is highly regarded. Proactive, detail‑oriented, with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with a continuous improvement mindset. On Offer Above‑market salary package.
