Senior Legal Counsel - Venue Development This is an exciting opportunity for a senior projects/ construction lawyer to join a leading media entertainment business as they look to expand their footprint in ANZ. This role is a 12m FTC to start in the new year. The role Advise on landmark venue projects, from boutique spaces to multi-functional arenas. Lead specific projects, ensuring progress is on track and key issues are escalated appropriately. Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of agreements including procurement documents, construction contracts, leases, financing arrangements, and regulatory applications. Report to senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor across the business. Manage external counsel, ensuring their work aligns with the business’ commercial objectives and budget expectations. Key Responsibilities Qualified in Australia with 8+ years PAE. Strong background in construction and/or major projects from time spent ideally in both private practice and inhouse. Experience in procurement matters, project financing, PPPs, and corporate matters relating to construction would be advantageous. Commercial acumen, negotiation expertise, and the ability to manage complex, multi-party projects. Flexibility to travel across ANZ as required.
