Front Counter Sales Representative

Role Overview: As a Front Counter Sales Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our valued customers. Your warm demeanor, product knowledge, and sales skills will contribute to creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Retail Customer Service: Greet walk-in customers with a smile and assist them promptly. Understand their needs and recommend suitable products, including home improvement materials, fencing, steel, verandahs, and sheds. Provide exceptional service throughout their visit. Sales and Quoting: Actively engage in sales conversations. Prepare accurate quotes for customers based on their requirements. Follow up on quotes to convert leads into sales. Strive to meet or exceed sales targets. Order Management: Process debtor orders efficiently. Handle internal orders and coordinate with other departments as needed. Maintain organized records of transactions. Product Knowledge: While product knowledge is preferred, we understand that it can be learned on the job. A willingness to learn about our offerings is essential. Stay informed about new products and industry trends. Communication and Teamwork: Transfer calls to other departments as necessary. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members. Adaptability and Work Ethic: Be adaptable—our industry can be dynamic, and priorities may shift. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliability. Computer Skills: Comfortably use our point-of-sale system and other relevant software. Basic computer literacy is required. Qualifications A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers. Strong interpersonal skills. Sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to work well in a team. Reliable and punctual. Proficiency in basic computer applications.
