About the role This Grade 3 role will provide specialized physiotherapy care to patients awaiting transfer to subacute care, aiming to discharge them home with ambulatory services and to reduce hospital acquired de-conditioning. You will work dynamically across a specialized multi-disciplinary inclusive of and aligned Allied Health Assistants. As an integral part of your role, you will have access to supports and opportunities to continuously improve your clinical and leadership capabilities. This includes: Regular supervision, support & coaching from our Grade 4 Physiotherapy Clinical Leads both individually and as part of the senior leadership team (Aged and Complex Care stream) Regular engagement with Physiotherapy/Allied Health managers, including participation in Physiotherapy Professional Council Regular access to the broader Physiotherapy Leadership Teams, including the ability to consult with clinical leads in the musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiorespiratory streams about complex cases as they arise. In-house professional development opportunities Access to Allied Health Research department and Quality Teams to support you to participate in and lead quality and research initiatives About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Recognised tertiary qualification in relevant discipline. Current registration Australian Physiotherapy Board. Eligibility for Membership of Professional Association. Extensive clinical experience in geriatric care across the continuum. Experience in leadership of staff, including professional development and supervision. Experience in clinical education of staff and students. High level communication and collaborative practice. Demonstrable engagement in innovative work practice Sound knowledge of community organisations and networks. Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
