Then South Metropolitan Health Service is the perfect place to start Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine. Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services. SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth. Our vision is Excellent health care, every time. You can read more about SMHS in our Strategic Plan. Currently we are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Leave Relief team. The successful applicant will practice as a Senior Physiotherapist and ensures practice is in accordance with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and SMHS policies and guidelines. As part of the inter-disciplinary team, provides Physiotherapy services to a diverse and complex patient caseload in a leave relief capacity across physiotherapy specialty areas using advanced Physiotherapy clinical practice skills. Supports the Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department in providing supervision of level P1 and P2 Physiotherapy staff in the Physiotherapy Leave Relief area, including allocation of clinical duties. Acts as a Physiotherapy clinical consultant / resource to Physiotherapists and other health professionals and negotiates and collaborates with the managers and relevant stakeholders to support clinical service delivery and planning. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care.
