Position Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Main Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in accordance with restaurant standards and customer preferences. Assist in the creation and development of new menu items and daily specials. Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high‑quality food preparation and presentation. Monitor stock levels, order supplies and minimise food wastage and costs. Ensure all food handling and hygiene standards are met in accordance with HACCP and workplace safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas. Work closely with management to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent service delivery. Support with rostering, staff supervision, and kitchen workflow during busy service periods. Skills and Experience Required At least 3 years of relevant full‑time experience as a Chef (in lieu of formal qualification). Strong knowledge of Italian and Mediterranean‑style cuisine is highly desirable. Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent organisational and time‑management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
