Position Overview As a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Dermatologist, you will deliver modern comprehensive specialist services in Dermatology to ensure optimal patient outcomes, while also supporting training for clinicians across multiple disciplines to promote quality education and safe clinical practice. Wagga Wagga is the largest inland city in NSW and hosts the region’s largest private hospital, Calvary Riverina Hospital, alongside the new 325‑bed Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, a major regional referral hospital. Located centrally between Sydney and Melbourne, it offers convenient access to almost 11 million people across Australia. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive dermatology specialist services to patients. Support training and education for clinicians across multiple disciplines. Participate in an on‑call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time. Commit to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement. Qualifications & Selection Criteria Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Dermatologist, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways recognised by the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated significant experience in the relevant specialty. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. Availability to participate in an on‑call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time. Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
