Senior Manager - Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Join KBR, Inc. as a Senior Manager - Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) in the Australia Defence Systems & Solutions (ADSS) division. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary HSSE Senior Manager to join our ADSS division. This permanent, full‑time position can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. Only candidates eligible for an AGSVA security clearance will be shortlisted. Key Responsibilities Lead strategically: develop and execute a divisional HSSE strategy aligned with KBR’s global standards and Defence client expectations. Drive operational excellence: oversee compliance across projects, lead investigations, and continuously evolve systems and training programs. Inspire your team: mentor and develop HSSE professionals across sites, fostering collaboration and high performance. Engage stakeholders: serve as the trusted HSSE liaison for clients, regulators, and industry partners, representing KBR in key forums. Manage risk proactively: lead risk assessments, maintain compliance with WHS legislation and ISO standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills A degree in HSSE or a related field. 10+ years of experience in HSSE leadership roles. Expertise in HSSE compliance, risk management and cultural transformation. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to lead change and coach emerging leaders. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance. About You You are a seasoned HSSE leader with a proven track record of success in complex, multi‑site environments – ideally within the Defence sector. You have a passion for safety leadership, a deep understanding of WHS and ISO frameworks, and the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels.
