About the Role We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician with an A‑Grade Electrical Licence to join our Service team. This role is field‑based across Greater Melbourne and involves calibration, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial instrumentation and control systems. You’ll work across a variety of sites, supporting both service and project teams to ensure instrumentation and electrical systems operate safely, accurately and reliably. What You’ll Be Doing Instrumentation & Calibration Install, configure and commission pressure, flow, level, temperature and analytical instruments Perform calibration, verification and functional testing Maintain accurate records and calibration documentation Fault Finding & Maintenance Diagnose and repair instrumentation, control circuits and electrical faults Undertake preventative maintenance, shutdowns and reliability tasks Control Systems Support Work with Automation/Controls Engineers on PLC/SCADA/RTU‑integrated instrumentation Assist with loop checks, I/O testing, signal integrity and communication troubleshooting Electrical Work Perform safe isolations, testing and verification Install and maintain power systems, MCCs, control panels and field wiring Safety & Reporting Follow GPS HSEQ procedures, permits and safe work practices Complete service reports, calibration sheets and site documentation What You’ll Bring Essential A‑Grade Electrical Licence (or equivalent) Cert III/IV in Instrumentation & Control (or post‑trade qualification) Strong experience with industrial instrumentation installation, calibration and maintenance Solid electrical and instrumentation fault‑finding skills Exposure to industrial automation (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, Ignition beneficial) Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, loop drawings and technical manuals Strong safety focus and attention to detail Desirable Experience across food & beverage, wastewater, utilities, pharma or heavy industry EEHA/Hazardous Areas experience Ability to work independently across multiple client sites Why GPS?
