Communications Officer St John Ambulance Victoria – Notting Hill headquarters. Responsibilities Efficiently dispatch on-road resources (non-emergency patient transport and deceased person transport) to meet service requirements and clinical needs. Coordinate and deliver timely and safe transport services across a 24/7 roster. Support staff, customers and patients with day‑to‑day queries and troubleshooting (policies, procedures, vehicle and equipment issues, rostering, and other administrative tasks). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational procedures and health & safety requirements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise service delivery. Ideal Candidate Administrative experience; ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, handle phone calls, and work with multiple displays, software systems and bespoke programs. Ability to work in and direct resources in a dynamic and responsive service delivery environment. Understanding of confidentiality, privacy and data protection. Experience planning and dispatching across a dispersed geographic location. Team player with the ability to work autonomously. Experience following policies and procedures; excellent conflict‑resolution skills and ability to deescalate complex situations. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
