Pathology Services Assistant

We are seeking a part time enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Specimen Reception and Processing Assistant to join our busy Rockhampton Preanalytical Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment and is committed to delivering accuracy and exceptional service 6 days a week. Key Responsibilities Registering, entering, and processing specimens in our laboratory systems Unpacking, receipting, and distributing incoming specimens Packing, lifting, and carrying eskies Coordinating and delivering specimens to relevant laboratory departments Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders Preparing and processing specimens prior to analysis, including centrifuging and aliquoting Coordination and pickup of specimens from relevant medical institutions What we are looking for Strong communication and organisational skills The ability to work effectively in a busy, multi‑tasking environment A high level of commitment to accuracy, laboratory turnaround times, and customer service Comfort with manual handling and being on your feet for extended periods Availability to join a rotating roster with evening shifts finishing by 8pm To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following Proven keyboard and data entry skills Experience working in a fast‑paced, professional team environment A strong commitment to quality customer service A genuine willingness to learn and develop your skills Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP) is one of Australia's leading providers of diagnostic pathology services, recognised for our unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care and high‑quality testing.
