Part-time weekend position based at our Willowbrooke facility in Upper Ferntree Gully Pay rate ranging from $ - $ Great culture with fun friendly team and supportive environment Excellent Not for Profit Salary Packaging Benefits About the role We are looking for a qualified Chef / Cook looking for a change of pace if you have a passion to work within the aged care sector we would love to hear from you. About you You will hold relevant certifications and have a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety Laws and Occupational Health and Safety in a kitchen environment. You will have demonstrated experience in all facets of food preparation including managing a team menu planning preparation of daily meals ensuring they are fresh well-presented and appetising. Furthermore you will possess the following : Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher Food Safety Supervisor Training (Health & Community) - HLTFSE001 HLTFSE005 and HLTFSE007 Experience working in a food services environment and in the supervision of staff Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents families employees and volunteers; patience; common sense and an understanding of client service Commitment to work as part of a team and without supervision Ability to be self-motivated and to promote a positive lifestyle environment Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality Availability to work Saturday and Sunday each week is essential for this role While aged care or disability service experience would be great whats more important is that you want to help to make a difference to our residents lives.
