Job Title Mechanical Engineer Job Description The role requires a person with a high attention to detail, communication and organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. The primary function of this role is drafting of the various projects manufactured in our facility. Responsibilities Prepare GA drawings and fabrication drawings for tanks using AutoCAD or SolidWorks according to the Job Summary Sheet and all other noted requirements. Project scheduling and management – ensure all necessary tasks are undertaken to fulfil the customers’ requirements on specifications and delivery dates, and provide regular communication to the customer on the project. Prepare detailed drawings for the manufacture of pump sets and develop a productive working relationship with all Production Team members. Assist with procurement of goods required to complete the pump set/system, ensuring parts are ordered in a timely manner to meet delivery targets. Liaise with the Production team at completion and during the project to ensure quality checks are undertaken and dispatch is arranged. Qualifications Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office. Advantageous to have demonstrated experience in an engineering organisation in the Australian commercial building sector. Experience dealing with various stakeholders both internally (Production Team, Purchasing Team, Service Team) and externally (Suppliers and Customers) is an advantage. Well-developed self-management skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver quality outputs in a timely manner and cost-effective manner. Experience with an ERP is beneficial.
