Full Time – initial 6 month contract with view to permanency for the right candidate January start date The Role The Manager, Support Services is a newly created leadership role designed to strengthen the long‑term sustainability of our service. You will manage a cross‑functional team and be responsible for elements of organisational compliance, contractual performance reporting, risk management, data quality and continuous improvement across our small For Purpose, non‑government organisation. In this role, you will coordinate and monitor delivery of the organisation’s contractual obligations and compliance requirements, maintain risk and compliance registers, manage essential reporting to funders, and drive strategic continuous improvement activities including accreditation. You will also manage ICT vendor relationships, system integrity, and user‑centred change processes. You’ll work closely with the CEO, management team and staff across clinical and non‑clinical functions. To be successful, you’ll bring strong judgement and analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to translate regulatory and service delivery requirements into practical operational processes, and a collaborative approach to solving problems in a busy residential AOD environment. This role is ideal for an experienced manager with a background in organisational compliance, quality systems, risk, performance reporting, or business operations, ideally in a health, human services, regulatory or other service‑focused environment. What We Do Jarrah House is the residential rehabilitation location for the Women’s Alcohol and Drug Advisory Centre Incorporated (WADAC), a Non‑Government Organisation providing services in withdrawal management, rehabilitation and individual and group counselling, and services to improve the wellbeing and health outcomes of families and carers, and the people they support. The voluntary admission Residential Rehabilitation Centre in South‑East Sydney, Jarrah House, is a place of care and compassion for women experiencing drug and alcohol dependence. A ‘women’s only service’, it is one of a small group of restricted‑entry services and the only one in NSW providing in‑house residential withdrawal management and Opioid Treatment Programme (OTP) participation with dependent children also in residence. Learn more about Jarrah House here About You You’ll bring: Experience managing teams in complex or service‑focused settings Strong capability in organisational compliance, risk and/or quality systems Expertise in analysis, reporting and preparing documents for senior decision‑makers Ability to translate complex requirements into practical operational processes Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach Experience with CRMs or operational systems (desirable) Familiarity with Health/NGO funding requirements (desirable) Degree qualification in business, Allied Health or a related field Have the right to work in Australia Be willing to gain a National Police Check clearance and Working with Children Check clearance Evidence of vaccination against Covid‑19 and Whooping Cough Identify as a woman – we have an exemption from sections 25 and 51 of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977 to advertise, designate and recruit women only in all positions that work directly with or are in regular contact with clients.
