Overview Join to apply for the Principal Pavement Engineer role at SMEC . We are seeking a talented and industry-recognised Principal Pavement Engineer to work in our Transport Group to deliver major transport infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. This is a senior role that includes mentoring and managing our developing engineers in the national pavements team. The role is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Responsibilities Work with clients and partners on iconic infrastructure projects globally Grow your personal brand and profile by engaging with Clients on major transport infrastructure projects Be part of a dynamic and premier engineering consultancy Qualifications Degree qualified – Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar) Minimum 15 years’ technical experience and knowledge of the Australian pavement design standards and practices Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with public and private sector clients Sound project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects Experience in the coordination, design and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to prepare and/or review technical reports Ability to work effectively in a team environment About SMEC SMEC provides unique opportunities to work on iconic industry projects with experienced colleagues and leadership teams.
