Assistant Venue Manager

As the Assistant Venue Manager at The Firehouse, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venues bar operations and drinks programs. This full-time role is based in Ringwood with a focus on the beer garden (150pax) and garage bar (80pax). This space is in significant growth (+30%) year on year and has the potential to double in the next 12-18months. The bar manager will be involved leading all bar staff to deliver exceptional customer service and drive profitability for the business. What you’ll be doing Manage the daily operations of the garage bar, ensuring efficient and excellent customer service Develop and implement strategies to improve bar performance, increase revenue and control costs Recruit, train and supervise bar staff to maintain high standards of service and product knowledge Maintain accurate inventory, ordering and stock control procedures Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and health and safety regulations Liaise with the hotel management team to identify and implement service improvements Foster a positive, customer-focused culture within the bar team Reporting to the venue manager What we’re looking for Experience in a bar management or venue supervisory role Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, line cleaning and basic financial reporting Thorough knowledge of liquor licensing laws and compliance requirements Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification What we offer Competitive salary with growth to grow as the venue grows Comprehensive training and development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment with owner operators Opportunities for career progression About us This venue consists of 4 bars, restaurant, beer garden all set in a fully renovated 110 year old Fire-station.
